The kids had an Easter party and egg hunt at their Mother's Day Out the Thursday b/4 Easter. Their teacher was absent that day so I got to be their substitute. It was fun but VERY stressful. I don't mind being a sub for other classes but there is something really stressful about being in your own child's room. They were overly excited b/c it was "party day" and there were no activities left for me to do with them!!!

I missed snapping pictures of them actually looking for eggs b/c it happened so fast. Each child was only allowed to find 6 eggs to make it fair for everyone. Needless to say, they found their 6 eggs b/4 I could even get my camera out. Each egg was filled with a little goody.

Easter Sunday was a great day!! The kids played music instruments and sang a song during the Easter program. They were so excited about being able to sing in church. They were even more excited that PaPa, MiMi, Uncle A, Aunt N, and the cousins came to see them preform. After church, we went to MiMi and PaPa's house for another egg hunt and lunch.

This year we introduced the resurrections eggs to them and they really got it!! It was amazing to watch their little minds work and process each story. We wanted to focus less on the Easter bunny and more on the true meaning of Easter. They all know now, how and why Jesus died on the cross for our sins. GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Love Bug!!

We had a Valentine's Day celebration at house for dinner. The kids helped us make pink pancakes, bacon, pink eggs, and strawberry milk. They thought it was hysterical and we even lit a candle to be "romantic". The kids kept asking whose birthday it was since we had a candle. After dinner, we enjoyed a movie from the comforts of our couch!! It was the best Valentine's Day ever!!!!!!!

Spiderman

After a great morning of worship at a methodist church we have been visiting, Daddy decided to treat the kids to an afternoon at the World of Wheels Show. The kids were so pumped b/c Dora the Explorer, Spiderman, and Lightening McQueen were going to be there for pictures and autographs. Unfortunately, the media did not relay the message that you had to PAY for each individual picture with a character. Five dollars a picture!!!!! Luckily, the kids were able to meet Dora the Explorer, but daddy was not allowed to snap a picture. They got close to Spiderman but were not able to talk to him or take a picture 'with' him. They were also able to get close enough to Lightening McQueen to have an illegal picture taken and so did 100 more people. Daddy said they enjoyed seeing all of the bright and shiney cars and they were happy to have at least seen all of their favorite characters.

Fancy Nancy

The kids received Fancy Nancy for their birthday and it has become one of their favorite books; especially Megan. They all asked if they could dress "fancy" one day. Above, you will see the outcome. I wish you could see the eye make-up behind the sunglasses though. They truely were "Fancy Nancy".

Double the Triplets

My very dear friend and her almost 5 year old triplets came over to play 2 weeks ago. We now live an hour and 1/2 apart so we have to make our get togethers an all day event. Our kids LOVE to play together and at the end of the day, we have to tear apart screaming and crying kids b/c no one wants to leave.

My sweet friend has known me since I had 3 kidney beans in my belly. She prepared me for life with triplets and has been there for me ever step of the way. We share clothes, toys, hair bows, advice, tears, and moments of joy! I pray that our friendship and our childrens' will only grow stronger with each passing year.

As soon as we got to MDO this morning, it started sleeting. The kids had no idea what sleet was. They called it "silly rain". When we left MDO, it was still sleeting and the closer we got to our house, the less it sleeted and the more it snowed. At one point, it looked like we were driving through a blizzard. When we got home, we were surprised to see our house and yard "covered" in snow. The kids were in awe!! They weren't sure if they should touch the snow or not. They finally made a few snowballs and just ran around in the yard like crazy! Once we came inside, it began to snow heavily but soon disappeared when the sleet returned. By the time hubby got home, it was all gone!

The kids LOVE to cook. In the past 2 months, they have helped me make chocolate covered pretzels, decorated sugar cookies, cupcakes, brownies, chicken casserole, soup, and fried catfish!! They are always asking if they can help me cook. I just recently purchased "Deceptively Delicious" that gives child friendly recipes that all have fruits and/or veggies hidden in them. Now it will be fun for them to ask me why we are putting spinach in the brownies!!!!!!!
